Due to the Covid-19 virus, many of us feel the need to add some level of additional protection. The British Government has advised that the wearing of face coverings in certain situations may help give this protection, ie on public transport or in some shops.
UPDATE 4th June: With effect from 16th June, face coverings are COMPULSORY on public transport in England and if you are visiting hospital. If you don't wear one you could be refused travel or fined on public transport.
UPDATE 13th July: With effect from 24th July, face coverings are COMPULSORY in all shops in England.
All of our face coverings have a built in lining, sandwiched between 2 layers of cotton/polycotton fabric which means they are suitable for washing at 60 degrees (dark colours should be washed separately). They have ties for the back of the head/neck as opposed to elastic which can often lead to irritation behind the ears. They also have soft coated nose wire along with a pleated front hence giving the best possible fit over the nose and mouth.
Rest assured all of our face coverings are handmade with your comfort and safety in mind and are all made in a smoke-free, clean environment at our business premises in Sudbury, Suffolk.
Note: You must still use social distancing where possible when wearing a face covering.
Please note that under government guidelines, we are unable to sell face coverings for use of children under the age of 3 or to people with breathing difficulties. . . . if you are unsure whether a face covering is suitable for you, please check with the latest government advice as we cannot be held responsible for any neglect or misuse.
All of our face coverings are £6 each inclusive of free P&P (UK mainland). Should you wish to collect directly from us, then please add a comment when checking out. Due to hygiene regulations, we are not able to offer an exchange or a refund for any of these products (your statutory rights are unaffected).
Wearing a face covering
Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser before putting it on and after taking it off and after use. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth at all times and store used face coverings in a plastic bag until you have an opportunity to wash them.
Do not touch the front of the face covering, or part of the face covering that has been in contact with your mouth and nose. Once removed, make sure you clean any surfaces the face covering has touched.
You should wash your face covering regularly. It can go in your normal laundry, using your normal detergent. When wearing your face covering, take care to tuck away any loose ends.
