In this short day class you will learn how to make fine silver jewellery using 10g of silver (also known as metal) clay. This magical medium enables you to create 'hallmark'able jewellery in a fraction of the time it would take to use sheet silver. By first making a prototype; using various tools and textures provided, you will learn how to design your piece before then going on to use the silver clay. You will learn about finishing, different methods of firing and then final polishing. Using the 10g of silver clay provided in the class you will make up to 3 pieces, depending on the size of your design. This might be earrings, a pendant, or perhaps a couple of charms.
£95 per person, includes use of tools, class notes and materials. The tutor will also bring findings for you to purchase for a small fee on the day, should you require them to finish your pieces. This price also includes a choice of hot or cold lunch and refreshments throughout the day. Ample free parking and disabled access. Pre-booking is essential due to the popularity of our workshops. This workshop runs from 10am until approx. 2.30pm
